| The good news is that "HalfWay Home" will perform for us twice this month, on the 13th and the 20th. on the 13th, they will offer their normal eclectic fare. On the 20th, they are performing a John Prine and Kris Kristofferson evening, so that should be lots of fun. Staying with the music for a moment, "At Wit's End" will perform for us on the 27th. Fred, Charlotte and Pam have been rehearsing some new numbers and some old favorites. On the poetry side of things, the "Poets and Writers Guild" will bring us Dr. Michael Bauza on June 26th, and on the 28th, "Perapetic Poets" will be hosting Terry Hermsen and and Mike Lohre. Clearly, June will be a great month at the bookstore, so please come out to visit us. |
| Halfway Home | | June 13th and the 20th Halfway Home focuses on American Roots songwriting in an fashion that is always entertaining and exciting. Pat plays a mean accordion with a very sharp wit. He is balanced by Renilda's bass and her grace. Mike has a wonderful voice, and Brian has an amazing guitar. And it is always a pleasure to hear Patty. On the 13th, the gang will entertain us with a wide range of American folk songs. On the 20th, they will focus on the work of John Prine and Kris Kristofferson. Both events should be a great joy. The event is free, but we will pass the hat. Free parking in the rear of the store. Light refreshments will be served. |
At Wit's End Folk Music with an Attitude June 27th | | The other night, a friend responded to Fred's rendition of "Broken Hand," by saying, "You know, on a scale of 1 to 100, that's a hundred." At Wit's End offers a truly top-notch rendition of American folk music. If you enjoy folk music, this is the group to hear.
Music starts at 7pm. The event is free, but we will pass the hat. There is free parking in the rear, and light refreshments will be served. |
